Professor Lant Pritchett is the Research Director at Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government and a Fellow at the London School of Economics since May 2018. Prior to this, he was a professor at the Practice of Economic Development, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University from July 2007 to 2019. Over the years, he had been a senior economist in various postings at World Bank.
He has published papers with over 500 Google Scholar citations (highest citations first) and has authored books, the latest of which is “Deals and Development: The Political Dynamics of Growth Episodes” published in 2018 by the Oxford University Press.
Prof Pritchett obtained his Ph.D. in Economics in 1988 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his B.S. in Economics from Brigham Young University in 1983.
