Under a capacity-development project on “Improving the safety of navigation and the sustainability of shipping through the introduction of innovative autonomous shipping technologies in the Asia-Pacific region”, ESCAP is organizing the above-captioned Expert Group Meeting as the final project event to summarize the previous project activities, discuss the matters of regional cooperation on the matters of autonomous shipping, including potential pilot projects, and discuss the directions of possible follow-up actions. The meeting will be followed by a technical tour to Laem Chabang Port. The event is targeting a wide range of stakeholders, including decision makers, private sector, international and regional organizations and financial institutions, as well as academia.
The Meeting will be held in in-person mode. The language of the meeting will be Chinese, English and Russian.
