This report , "Readiness Assessment for Cross-Border Paperless Trade: Tuvalu", provides an assessment of Tuvalu’s readiness for cross-border paperless trade, that is, the conduct of domestic and international trade in the form of electronic data and documents through the use of electronic systems. Following a brief overview of trade facilitation implementation in Tuvalu, findings, and recommendations on technical and legal aspects of cross-border paperless trade will be presented, followed by a proposed action plan for the way forward for Tuvalu.
In addition, the Tuvalu Department of Trade and ESCAP Fiji Office will also launch the Review of the Tuvalu ETrade Readiness Assessment to provide a tool to policymakers and development partners, and provide recommendations on concrete actions to take in order to overcome identified weakness in the national e-commerce ecosystem.
